Diarmaid Harkin

Dr Diarmaid Harkin is an Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Lecturer in Criminology at Deakin University. His current research interests include cyber-policing, cyber-crime, the private security industry, and technology-facilitated forms of family violence. He is currently writing a book on the partnerships between family violence services and private security companies. Other projects he is currently working on include an investigation into the consumer spyware industry and research into the challenges of cyber-policing. His talk will unpack the international dimensions to forms of crime and the cross-jurisdictional challenges of managing international offending.
