Social Movements and Social Change – Panel Discussion at Korumburra Secondary College

Dr Max Holleran and Professor Dan Woodman from the University of Melbourne will engage in a discussion with students about social movements – including the different types of movements, how they come into being, how they bring about change, what factors block change.

Associate Professor Dan Woodman is a sociologist of youth and social change at the University of Melbourne. He is President of The Australian Sociological Association (TASA) and Chair of the Organising Committee for Social Sciences Week.
Dr Max Holleran is a scholar of social movements and urbanisation scholar. He has recently joined the University of Melbourne from New York University.
