Politics – In parliament and beyond

At university information days around the country, prospective students (and their parents!) often ask ‘What job will I get if I study political science?’ The answer, political scientists will often say, is that the possibilities are endless.

This panel provides an opportunity for anyone interested in politics to understand more about what the study of politics can offer as a way of shaping future career pathways. University of Melbourne political scientist Sarah Maddison will facilitate a panel including a politician, an activist and a diplomat, to explore the ways in which the study of politics has shaped their view of the world and the work that they want to do in it.

Limited places only, contact organiser Sarah Maddison to book.
