Criminology Careers: Workshopping Prospective Pathways at Northcote High School

This is a closed event for Year 11 students of Northcote High School

Members of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology, including academic scholars and industry stakeholders, will be visiting Year 11 Northcote High School students in Social Sciences Week to discuss prospective career pathways in Criminology. The workshop will include a discussion of the multifaceted pathways students can pursue after having completed a Criminology degree or related course. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions of the guest speakers, providing them with a unique and valuable insight as to prospective career pathways in Criminology at an early, yet crucial stage, in their education.   

Dr Mary Iliadis is a Lecturer in Criminology at Deakin University. Mary’s research adopts a socio-legal framework to examine, critique and impact legal policy concerning victims’ rights, with a particular focus on the rights afforded to victims of sexual violence.
